The Los Angeles Lakers have fallen down 0-3 after losing Game 3 to the Denver Nuggets. The 105-112 loss followed the same pattern as past meetings between these teams, with the Lakers squandering an early lead in the second half. Fans are outraged that another Lakers season is about to end in disappointment.
Lakers fans described their games versus the Nuggets as the same horror.
Fans referred to the Lakers as rubbish.
The Lakers were being chastised for their dejected demeanor in the third quarter until the Nuggets went on a run.
Fans have realized that the Nuggets are simply far superior to the Lakers as an entire team.
Many fans even joked about how the Nuggets are constantly fired up to beat the Lakers.
Fans are well aware that each game between these teams follows a similar sequence.
It’s mind-boggling that LeBron James has lost 11 consecutive games versus one opponent, with seven of those losses coming in the playoffs.
It’s difficult to put the Lakers’ difficulties on either Anthony Davis or LeBron James. Davis was active, scoring 33 points and 15 rebounds, while LeBron had 24 points, six rebounds, and nine assists in a good overall performance. Even Austin Reaves scored 22 points, but the rest of the Lakers combined for 22. D’Angelo Russell had no points and shot 0-7 on the night.
The well-oiled Nuggets exploited their rotational prowess to dominate the Lakers, with four players scoring 20 or more points. Aaron Gordon led them on the court with 29 points and 15 rebounds, while Jamal Murray contributed 22 points and 9 assists. Nikola Jokic scored 24 points with 15 rebounds and nine assists, while Michael Porter Jr. added 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lakers Will Not Get A Miracle.
It appears that the Lakers winning one game in this series would be a miracle, let alone winning all seven. There’s no way the Lakers can beat the Nuggets four times in a row, especially given how one-sided this rivalry has been over the last 18 months.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis cannot contribute significantly to the Lakers’ productivity. The Nuggets are beating them because they have four high-caliber players on their roster who outperform the whole Lakers rotation. Furthermore, the best player in this series wears a Nuggets jersey, resulting in a disproportionate talent level between the two sides.
Moving on from the talent, the coaching appears to be leagues apart. Michael Malone has managed one of the NBA’s most efficient attacks while maintaining a solid defense that can keep them in winning positions. The Lakers and Darvin Ham have absolutely no response to this level of game planning.
It’s hardly surprising that the team with the best player, rotation, and coach is about to sweep its opponents. The idea that the great Lakers, who boast a generational GOAT in LeBron, have dropped to this level is the real surprise.
