Clearing the Air: Why Our Set Seemed to End Abruptly – A Tribute to Ozzy That Almost Went Unseen

Clearing the Air: Why Our Set Seemed to End Abruptly – A Tribute to Ozzy That Almost Went Unseen

I keep hearing that people watching the stream thought our set ended abruptly—like we just dropped our instruments and walked off. No encore, no final bow, no words. Just… silence and confusion. And I get it, from your angle, it might’ve looked that way. I’ve seen the replay. But I want to set the record straight—because the truth is something really special happened right after the music stopped.

The moment our last chord rang out, I didn’t storm off stage. I wasn’t angry or burnt out. I didn’t leave because something went wrong. I left because I had something incredibly important to do—something that meant the world to me and, I hope, to a lot of you too. I went backstage to grab a cake. Not just any cake. A massive, over-the-top, heavy-metal-as-hell cake for one of the most legendary figures to ever grace a stage: Ozzy Osbourne.

Yeah, the Prince of Darkness himself was there. And this wasn’t just a regular night. It was a moment to celebrate the man who paved the way for so many of us, who redefined what it means to live and breathe rock ‘n’ roll. Ozzy’s been through the fire and back—and he’s still standing, still inspiring, still the heart and soul of metal. This night was about him.

So when I ran offstage, it wasn’t to call it a night. It was to surprise Ozzy with a cake that said, in the loudest, sweetest way possible: “Thank you. We love you.” A gesture for the man who gave us Sabbath, who screamed and soared through decades of music, who never stopped fighting even when life tried to knock him down. That moment meant everything to us. But for those watching the livestream, you didn’t see that part. You just saw a stage go quiet.

It bummed me out to hear people say the set felt incomplete. Because honestly, we poured everything into that performance. Every riff, every scream, every beat—it was all for Ozzy. The show didn’t end in silence. It ended with laughter, hugs, and cake frosting. It ended with Ozzy looking surprised and honestly kind of touched. It ended with us standing next to a legend, clapping and cheering like giddy kids. That was the real finale.

So to those watching at home who felt confused or let down—I hear you. And I’m sorry it came across like we just bailed. It wasn’t intentional. Sometimes, especially in the chaos and adrenaline of a live show, moments that matter the most can slip through the cracks of a stream or a camera angle. But trust me when I say: that ending wasn’t abrupt. It was beautiful.

Massive shoutout to the fan who captured the real ending and shared it online. You saved the moment from being misunderstood. Your clip showed the cheers, the love, the toast to Ozzy—and you helped everyone see what really happened. That’s the magic of the fans, always showing up, always seeing the full picture even when the cameras don’t.

And Ozzy… if you ever read this: Thank you. For your music, your madness, your heart, and your humor. You’ve shown us all what it means to endure, to evolve, and to never stop rocking, no matter what life throws your way. That cake was for you—but so was every note we played that night.

So next time, we’ll make sure the stream doesn’t cut out early. We’ll make sure the cake moment makes it in. But more importantly, we’ll keep giving you everything we’ve got—onstage, offstage, and every chaotic, heartfelt second in between.

Until then, cheers to the legends, the fans, and the ones who stick around even after the cameras stop rolling.
