Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Bon Jovi have announced a special one-night-only concert in Sayreville, New Jersey — the hometown of frontman Jon Bon Jovi — to mark two major milestones: the unveiling of a statue honoring the legendary rocker and the release of an upcoming Netflix documentary chronicling the band’s four-decade career.
The concert, scheduled for July 15 at the newly renovated Sayreville Waterfront Amphitheater, promises to be both a homecoming and a historical moment for fans. Sayreville Mayor Victoria Diaz called the statue “a tribute to not only a rock icon, but a humanitarian, entrepreneur, and proud son of New Jersey.”
“Jon Bon Jovi has always worn Sayreville on his sleeve, from the lyrics in his songs to the charitable work he’s done for communities across the state,” Diaz said. “This statue will inspire future generations to dream big.”
Netflix Documentary Coming This Fall
Adding to the celebration, Netflix has confirmed that a feature-length documentary titled “Bon Jovi: Blood on the Notes” will premiere globally in October 2025. Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?), the documentary spans over 40 years of music, touring, personal struggles, and reinvention.
Sources close to the production say the film includes never-before-seen backstage footage, interviews with current and former band members, archival clips from early Sayreville gigs, and candid reflections from Jon himself on fame, family, and perseverance.
