Bam Adebayo also supplied 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Caleb Martin, who has emerged as a fresh threat for the Celtics, added 21 points.
Miami fired well from beyond the arc, making 53.5% of their 3-point tries and breaking their playoff record of 20 3-pointers established against the Bucks in 2021.
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 33 points, while Jayson Tatum contributed 28 points and showed no signs of injury after a hard foul by Martin in Game 1. The third and fourth games of the series will now be played in Miami on Saturday and Monday.
