The Green Bay Packers made the difficult choice to release standout LT David Bakhtiari. While he has been a key member of the Packers’ offensive line for the greater part of a decade, his recent ailments, combined with his 2024 budget charge, were simply too much for the Packers.
The All-Pro left tackle has stated on multiple occasions that he is not done playing in the NFL just yet. The 32-year-old (33 by the start of next year) is determined to show that he can still be one of the NFL’s best left tackles.
However, his political opinions are currently capturing the attention of his supporters.
Former Green Bay Packers LT David Bakhtiari posts a political take on social media.
Bakhtiari used Twitter (X) to respond to one of President Biden’s proposals:
When asked why he had this perspective by one fan, Bakhtiari responded as follows:
Politics is one of the most divisive topics in the United States, rivaling sports. Bakhtiari appears to be in the midst of both of these issues at the time.
Bakhtiari Is Still Looking For A New Team in 2024.
Bakhtiari continued to perform really well in week one of the 2023 season. He hopes to receive one more shot in the league.
He has lately been connected to a Super Bowl contender, but there has been no reported movement as of yet.
No matter how you feel about Bakhtiari on or off the field, he is likely to perform at a high level for a team willing to give him a chance. Look for a contender in a “win now” mode to give him that chance.
