The National Football League (NFL) celebrates rivalries, but there could be a game changer this season.
Montez Sweat, speaking in an unscripted moment on the “Green Light” podcast, took the NFL’s well-known rivalry to new heights.
Sweat shocked the sports world when he declared a personal attack on Green Bay.
Sweat, a Bears player and renowned edge rusher, has issued a strong statement of intent towards the reigning Packers.
Sweat stated unequivocally, “I’m letting you know right now, man, I’m not losing to Green Bay this year.” I can’t do it, guy. I will not lose to Green Bay this year. We’ve started a tremendous competition over there.”
He added that his friendships with some Packers players, including Rashan Gary, only add to the competition.
Sweat started his NFL career in the Windy City with a 17-9 loss against Jordan Love and the Packers in Week 18. Green Bay presently has the upper hand with a ten-game winning streak.
Between these two NFL titans, Green Bay has dominated the field, winning 17 of 20 and dominating 22 of the previous 26 games.
