Former Green Bay Packers second-round draft pick signs with a new team.
The Atlanta Falcons have signed cornerback Kevin King, as reported on their official website Monday. This move marks King’s return to the NFL after two years out.
King joins Atlanta after five busy seasons from 2017 to 21. King was initially picked by the Green Bay Packers in the second round from Washington. After four years on a rookie contract, King and the Packers agreed to a one-year deal in 2021.
King elected to sit out the 2022 season due to personal reasons. He then missed 2023 due to a torn Achilles tendon suffered during an offseason workout while attempting to get in condition for training camp. King personally revealed everything that happened in a 21-minute YouTube video posted on May 5, 2023.
