The Green Bay Packers will need to locate a running back in the 2024 NFL Draft, and one name that has surfaced is New Hampshire Wildcats running back Dylan Laube. Laube has spent the last few seasons playing for New Hampshire in the FCS.
Throughout the NFL Draft process, an FCS candidate is consistently discussed. He is the most recent prospect to be mentioned. Green Bay will need a running back in the summer.
He carried for 715 yards on 158 tries last season, scoring nine touchdowns and averaging 4.5 yards per attempt. Dylan Laube also caught 68 passes, totaling 699 yards and seven touchdowns. He would be an excellent third-down rushing back with some further potential.
Laube would be an excellent third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Packers have eleven picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. General manager Brian Gutekunst is likely to utilize one or two of those picks on a running back.
Green Bay Packers Scouts Will Have Their Eyes on the New Hampshire Wildcats. Dylan Laube attended the NFL Scouting Combine.
With the NFL scouting combine currently underway in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Packers will be keeping an eye on numerous running back prospects. Laube is a name that could quickly become well-known. According to Sayre Bedinger of lombardiave.com, Dylan Laube is one of the guys to watch at the NFL scouting combine.
In his column, he mentioned Laube.
“It probably won’t be long before New Hampshire running back Dylan Laube can’t be labeled “underrated,” but for the time being, he does. With AJ Dillon ready to enter free agency this winter, the Packers will be looking for running back help, and Laube has a very intriguing skill set as an all-purpose back who did it all at New Hampshire. He was an outstanding traditional running back who also excelled as a receiver and return specialist. Laube had a fantastic week at the Senior Bowl and will surely help his Combine prospects.
Dylan Laube, like Aaron Jones, can catch passes out of the backfield. This would greatly benefit quarterback Jordan Love. A.J. Dillon does not appear to be returning to the Green Bay Packers. Laube will not be the only running back being scouted.
