Chicago pastor calls for White House response to American violence following the Kansas City parade shooting.
CHICAGO(CBS) — Following the Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting, which killed one lady and injured 22 others, a Chicago-area preacher is calling on the White House to take action.
“We continue to appeal to President Biden to correctly identify violence as a public health crisis,” stated Pastor Anthony Williams of King International Ministries. “The event in Kansas City is an indication that American violence is a public health crisis.”
All twelve victims who were admitted to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City have been discharged.

According to a statement from the hospital, all of the children who were shot should recover completely.
The Chiefs have also launched a KC Strong contribution drive through the United Way to benefit the shooting victims and their families.
So far they have raised more than $570,000.
