Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love exceeded expectations in 2023 and now faces even higher expectations heading into the 2024 NFL regular season. Many people questioned whether he could just play the role before last season.
There is now much speculation that he will be named MVP in 2024. When you were seventh in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns last season in the NFL, such conversations will occur. Jordan Love is the highest-ranked NFC quarterback who could win the award next season.
He completed 64.2% of his passes, totaling 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The touchdown passes may increase slightly, the interceptions may decrease, and his throwing yards may rise. His case for MVP next season will be strengthened by the fact that he will not rely on a single wide receiver for passing yards.
He enjoys distributing the football to a variety of wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends. Love is always ready to learn and grow.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love deserves the MVP hype heading into 2024, and he will get paid this offseason.
He will most likely receive a significant contract extension this offseason. The Packers believe he is here to stay. It will be interesting to observe how he handles the large deal he receives. Once he signs that contract, Love will have to produce at a high level year after year, and if he does not, it will be a very negative look for general manager Brian Gutekunst.
Last year, Jordan Love showed flashes of Aaron Rodgers. This was quite comparable to Rodgers learning from Brett Favre over three seasons. Aaron Rodgers won many MVP awards with Green Bay while he was the starter. Favre also won MVP awards with Green Bay.
It’s not too early to call Love the MVP. He may not win the MVP Award next season because the AFC quarterbacks are so loaded, but he will undoubtedly be considered if the Packers win the NFC North.
