Over the last two seasons, the Green Bay Packers have transitioned away from new franchise players. Of course, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams top the list. The Packers traded both of them players once it became clear that neither wanted to prolong their careers in Lambaeu.
Former Green Bay Packers star avoided serious legal issues.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, #Raiders WR Davante Adams will not face disciplinary action for shoving a photographer after a 2022 game in Kansas City, as per sources.
Last summer, prosecutors dismissed Adams’ misdemeanor assault case, but the league investigation remained open. It is now officially closed.
On Monday Night Football, following the Raiders’ October loss to the Chiefs, Davante Adams shoved a photographer. At one point, he was facing legal consequences. A day after the photographer filed a police report, the Kansas City Police Department charged the star wide receiver with misdemeanor assault. According to The Kansas City Star, the charges have been dismissed.
However, the all-pro wide receiver has learned that he will not face a ban from the league either. Adams apologized for the incident following the game.
“Before I say anything, I want to apologize to the guy who was running off the field and jumped in front of me,” Adams said, according to NFL.com’s Grant Gordon. “I was coming off the field when I brushed into him and pushed him.
I believe he ended up on the ground, so I apologize to him because it was just impatience mixed with him racing in front of me, and I should not have responded that way, but that is how I initially responded.”
