Kendrick Perkins sends an apology to Steve Kerr.
The Golden State Warriors are far from one of the NBA’s finest teams this season.
For months, many alleged that it was due to head coach Steve Kerr’s continuous refusal to give young players like Jonathan Kuminga a larger position on the squad.
Kendrick Perkins, a former NBA player and current broadcaster, has been one of Kerr’s most vocal detractors since the 2023-24 NBA season began.
However, Perkins has apologized to the experienced head coach for being too hard on him, according to NBA on ESPN on Twitter.
“Let me apologize to Steve Kerr for my criticism of him over the last few months. It was warranted, but I went a touch beyond,” Perkins admitted.
Perkins apologized to Steve Kerr, but it was far from genuine.
After all, Perkins was quick to point out that while the Warriors are moving in the right direction, they are still not among the favorites to win the 2024 NBA Championship.
To be honest, Perkins isn’t completely wrong about the Warriors’ chances this season.
The Warriors are presently the 11th seed in the Western Conference, with a record of 24-25.
Given that they are now not in a Play-In Tournament berth, supporters have begun to doubt Steve Kerr’s approach for the club.
As of now, the Warriors are giving Jonathan Kuminga lots of minutes, and he has responded nicely to the opportunity.
Finally, it appears that the Warriors only win games when Stephen Curry performs well on the court.
For what it’s worth, the Warriors are on a three-game winning run and have gone 4-1 in their past five games of the season.
