Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins makes a strong message about quarterback Joe Burrow.
At this point in the offseason, we don’t know whether wide receiver Tee Higgins will play for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2024.
Higgins, who is coming off an injury-plagued season, will be a free agency when the new league year begins in March, unless the Bengals slap the franchise tag on him.
While we don’t know how Higgins’ situation will develop this offseason, we do know how he feels about Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
During an appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams this week, Higgins stated unequivocally that he believes Burrow is the best quarterback in the NFL.
Adams questioned Higgins and teammate Ja’Marr Chase about a viral video circulating on social media that claims Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are better quarterbacks than Burrow since Burrow has Chase and Higgins as teammates.
“Joe Burrow’s going to have success whoever he’s throwing the ball to,” Higgins said. “He’s one of those top-tier quarterbacks who no one can compete with. In my perspective, Joe is one of the league’s top quarterbacks. If you ask me, I don’t think there’s anyone greater than him.”
When asked about the claim that Burrow is only good because of Chase and Higgins, Chase responded, “Everybody knows that’s not true,” adding that he hasn’t seen the viral video.
Higgins does not seem eager to leave Joe Burrow’s team, and Bengals fans are also not eager to see him leave. While keeping Higgins, Chase, and Burrow together would be ideal for the Bengals, money must be a consideration.
