West Ham set a price for player’s departure; Hammers would not accept loan move.
The Brazilian media has reported on the future of West Ham United defender Luizão.
According to IG, despite the fact that the player is expected to leave the Hammers shortly, the club is not making it easy.
According to reports, West Ham does not want to loan him out, thus despite recent attempts by numerous Brazilian clubs, negotiations for a temporary deal were never successful.
The Hammers reportedly put Luizão’s price at €5 million. That happened while they were negotiating with Monaco, but it appears that the French side did not meet that requirement.
The London club is thought to be so opposed to a loan that if Brazilian clubs do not pay for a permanent move now, he will remain in England at least until next summer.
West Ham placed Luizão in the U-21 squad to gain experience and understanding of English football, which is why he has yet to make a first-team debut.
The defender was signed as a free agent in January 2023 and has a deal with the Premier League club until 2026.
