After filling two defensive coaching vacancies inside this week, the Buffalo Bills looked outside the organization to hire their new quarterback coach. On Wednesday, the team introduced Ronald Curry as their new quarterbacks coach.
Curry joins the Bills after spending the previous eight years with the New Orleans Saints. It was rumored that the new Saints management offered Curry the position of wide receivers coach, but he chose to join Buffalo.

Worked under Sean Payton for much of his coaching career
Curry spent three seasons coaching high school football before joining the San Francisco 49ers as an offensive assistant in 2014-2015. Curry relocated to New Orleans from 2016 until 2023 after being let go in San Francisco. Curry coached for Sean Payton from 2016 until 2021. He held several positions in New Orleans under Payton, including offensive assistant (2016-2017), wide receivers coach (2018-2020), and quarterbacks coach (2021).
Following Payton’s departure from the Saints, Curry added passing game coordinator to his quarterbacks coach title.
