Harry Souttar, a defender for Leicester City, was reportedly wanted by Leeds United, Sheffield United, and Everton before the transfer window closed on Thursday night.
It has been reported that Leeds United lost out on signing Harry Souttar, defender for Leicester City, before the transfer market closed. According to a Football Insider report, the Foxes, who are leading the Championship, turned down the Whites’ late loan-to-buy bid for Souttar.
Leeds, Sheffield United, and Everton are said to have inquired about Souttar’s availability. The 25-year-old has lost favor at City and is presently traveling with his Australian colleagues to Qatar for the Asian Cup. Only four games have he appeared for the Foxes; Jannik Vestergaard and Wout Faes are ahead of him in the starting lineup hierarchy.
However, it’s believed that City was hesitant to bolster a possible contender for promotion during the winter transfer window. Although the Whites signed Connor Roberts on deadline day, their aim was also to sell the Australia international on a permanent basis. They only made a loan offer for the former Stoke City player.

Souttar reportedly cost the Foxes £15 million. He has a deal with the King Power Stadium through June 2028. With City, he has made 64 appearances overall.
On deadline day, the Foxes were left feeling let down because they were unable to come to an agreement with Stefano Sensi, the Inter Milan midfielder. Even though they flew in to perform a medical, they were unable to come to a deal with the Serie A team before the window closed on Thursday night.
