Transportation authorities are now examining a plane accident that occurred on Monday at Incheon International Airport.
According to Incheon International Airport Corp. and the Transport Ministry, a plane skidded off the runway on Monday night and lost its front wheels, preventing it from taking off.
Son Heung-min will return to Tottenham’s training base on Thursday, following South Korea’s Asian Cup loss.
Son was disappointed with his country on Tuesday, after they fell 2-0 to Jordan in the semi-finals.
While the majority of the South Korea group has returned to their home country, along with manager Jurgen Klinsmann, Son went straight to the UK and will link up with his Spurs teammates again on Thursday.
It increases the likelihood that Tottenham captain Son will be available for Saturday’s visit to Brighton.
Spurs have played four games without Son in the last month, winning only once.
Ange Postecoglou may have Yves Bissouma in contention for the encounter with Brighton after Mali were dumped out of the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday, but the midfielder will be checked after dealing with illness during the tournament.
