Arsenal could make a bid for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as they strive to enhance their team next summer.
In a recent interview with Give Me Sport, writer Dean Jones suggested that Arsenal could move for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Jones said:
“I could imagine Dewsbury-Hall, a creative player, being on their radar. I know for a fact that, in addition to being interested in signing a new striker, they believe they may need another wide player. I believe a creator like Dewsbury Hall may be adaptable and add flair to games. These players rarely become available. I don’t think he’d be at the top of Arsenal’s list, but he’s definitely someone who would fit in with what Arteta is trying to do.”
Dewsbury-Hall’s Impressive Form In the EFL Championship.
Dewsbury-Hall has had a good season at the East Midlands club, putting up a number of excellent performances in the heart of the park. The 25-year-old has ten goals and ten assists in 33 appearances for Leicester this season, in all competitions.
The English player has been a regular contributor for the Foxes, averaging 2.2 shots, 2.7 crucial passes, and 1.3 dribbles per game in the EFL Championship. He has also been accurate while distributing the ball from midfield, with a pass completion rate of 84.3% in the second division of English football (numbers via whoscored).
Is Dewsbury-Hall a good option for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta?
Dewsbury-Hall can shoot the ball from long range and has the vision to make a couple key passes in the closing third. He can also make some brilliant runs with the ball from midfield. This season, the English star has done an excellent job of adding goals and assists to his game. However, only time will tell if he can reproduce that level of performance in the Premier League.
Dewsbury-Hall would add talent and depth to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s midfield department. He has everything it takes to be a perfect replacement for Jorginho, whose contract at the Emirates Stadium expires at the conclusion of this season.
At 25, Dewsbury-Hall still has his best years ahead of him, making him an excellent option for the Gunners to target this summer.
