Everton drew a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur and now face Manchester City.
Sean Dyche has issued an injury update for Arnaut Danjuma, who missed Everton’s draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
Danjuma was forced to leave the Toffees’ previous game, a 0-0 draw at Fulham, due to an ankle injury. As a result, he was left out of Tottenham’s matchday squad at Goodison Park.
Despite having less options, Everton managed a 2-2 draw thanks to Jarrad Branthwaite’s 94th-minute equaliser. In addition to Richarlison’s double against his previous club, Jack Harrison scored for the Blues. Before halftime.
The Toffees now have a week to prepare for their match against champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Danjuma, who is on loan from Villarreal, is unlikely to feature.
Everton boss Dyche stated, “Danjuma is absolutely uncertain for next weekend. It needs to settle down, so we’ll have to wait and see how things go, but it won’t happen next weekend.”
Ben Godfrey was pulled off in the second half against Tottenham after getting treatment. The defender was making his second consecutive appearance after being sidelined for much of the season due to a cramp. Dyche went on to say: “He got cramp but – and I’m not a medic – the kind where your calf tightens up and won’t realise, so we had to make a decision there and then.”
