Farke helped seal Leeds United agreement by securing an emergency move.
Leeds United are also interested in signing Leicester City centre-back Harry Souttar this afternoon, while they hope to finalize a deal for Connor Roberts in the meantime.
Leeds have been extremely quiet during the January window, but they have come alive on deadline day with defensive acquisitions on the way.
Daniel Farke has been looking to add depth to his team, and at least one addition is expected this afternoon.
Connor Roberts agrees to Leeds move today.
According to Phil Hay of The Athletic, Leeds have agreed to sign right-back Connor Roberts on a straight loan from Burnley.
Roberts is anticipated to fly from Lancashire to LS11 to undergo a medical and other procedures before becoming the club’s first signing on deadline day.
Leeds also looking for Leicester City’s Harry Souttar.
Following that, the YEP’s Graham Smyth reported that Leeds manager Farke met with the Wales right-back about a move to Elland Road.
Leeds are also considering recruiting centre-back Harry Souttar from Leicester City, according to Smyth, who is interested in joining the club, although there are concerns over the Foxes’ readiness to allow such a deal.
It is worth mentioning that Souttar is presently in Qatar with the Australian squad, preparing for tomorrow’s Asia Cup quarter-final against South Korea, having scored in their round of 16 victory over Indonesia.
Souttar is an unusual move for Leeds.
Souttar would not be the best addition because he does not appear to be suited to a team that prefers to play with the majority of possession.
He defends his box well and is great in the air, but Leeds will have possession more often than not, so that must be considered.
Leeds may have some decent backup in Souttar, but it isn’t a signing that gives me much confidence, despite the fact that we could use more depth.
