This is just bullshit! Even after I proved to them that the Packers cheated, the NFL refused to overturn the game!! The next stage is the supreme court!!!!

Sports, whether they’re professional or not, are, on a fundamental level, subject to agreed-upon rules that determine the outcome. There are, however, many variables that can impact the flow of the game and allow miraculous wins and unbelievable losses.
That being said, however, the fact that professional sports in the United States allow gambling to benefit people who bet on teams to win or lose does give pause to the conviction that games are fair and random. The belief that games are unscripted can be undermined by individuals like Tim Donaghy, a former NBA referee who was convicted in 2007 of betting on playoff games that he officiated, calling penalties to influence the point spread. It was a massive scandal that rocked the NBA to its core and cast serious doubt on the legitimacy of professional sports in America.
Regarding the National Football League, with its multitude of rules that govern play, there certainly has been a growing discontent by fans with the rising number of questionable penalty calls by referees, leading many people critical of the league to grumble that the NFL subtly works behind the scenes, via the officiating, to influence the outcome of games in an effort to amplify its bottom line and exploit rivalries between teams. The allegations of cheating by the New England Patriots (Spygate, Deflategate, etc.) and other teams certainly don’t help.
The counterpoint to the argument that the NFL is “rigged” is the fact that 32 team owners have quite a bit of vested interest in appearing impartial and uncorrupt, considering that they spent billions to buy their organizations and spend billions more to maintain them, with their reputations on the line. And in this age of mass surveillance, it’s proving very difficult, if not impossible, to get away with committing fraud. But, like the saying goes, if crime didn’t pay, there would be very few criminals. So take from all that what you will.
