The agent of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a colleague of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen at Napoli, has come under fire for allegedly claiming that Osimhen plans to relocate to Saudi Arabia in order to make money.
Remember when Victor Osimhen and Napoli engaged in a protracted back and forth before he ultimately agreed to a contract extension agreement at the end of the previous year?
The 25-year-old Nigerian international’s original contract was supposed to expire in 2025, but thanks to the extension, he will remain at Napoli until June 30, 2026.
Even after Victor Osimhen signed the contract extension agreement, rumors about him joining other teams—especially Premier League teams—have not stopped.
During that, Osimhen’s representative, Mamuka Jugeli, alleged on behalf of Kvaratskhelia that Osimhen wants to go to the Saudi Pro League next summer due to financial reasons.
Remember that last summer, a Saudi Pro League team attempted to sign Osimhen, but Napoli turned down the club’s offer? Because of this, the agent’s remarks sparked rumors that the Saudi team intended to make a second effort to sign the prolific striker during the upcoming summer transfer window.
But the Napoli striker Victor Osimhen called the agency a “disgrace” in an official statement. Osimhen is presently training with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in anticipation of the 2023 AFCON, which kicks off on January 13.
Victor Osimhen wrote, “Dear Mamuka Jugeli—you are a piece of filth and a disgrace.”
“I’m ashamed of your level of logic.
“Stupid fck! keep my name out of your fcking lips!.
