Eric Dier, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, has gone on loan to Bayern Munich, the reigning German Bundesliga champs.
Eric Dier, who is about to reunite with Harry Kane, his old captain at Spurs, has been sighted getting ready for his introduction in Germany.
After completing his physical today, the 29-year-old English defender should be back at the German powerhouses in time for the second half of the season to begin.
Dier’s loan at Bayern will run out at the end of the 2023–2024 campaign, although the German powerhouses may decide to extend the agreement permanently the following summer.
“Bayern and Spurs are now exchanging signed documents for Eric Dier’s permanent move”, trade specialist, Fabrizio Romano, stated earlier today.
“Everything is done for about €4 million, and the medical work is virtually finished. Official shortly.
Because he has not been enjoying playing time under the club’s new coach, Ange Postecoglou, Eric Dier was forced to quit Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international wasn’t pleased with the fact that he has only made four Premier League appearances so far this season.
Thomas Tuchel, who has watched the Englishman closely while coaching Chelsea, made the following statement regarding the arrival of Eric Dier, Bayern’s coach: “He’s a specialist at center-back.” In the Premier League, he has also played as a six, but it has been a while.
“We’re getting him to play center back; he can play in the back three as well as the right or left center back position.”
